I can’t stress enough how much as a whole family we enjoyed our day, we took nanny and grandad with us which was so fun. It was our first time visiting and definitely won’t be our last, I had read previously somewhere about being able to pet a few animals, so I was really hoping it was true, as Ella is completely obsessed with stroking animals, and as soon as we got there there was a meet the hedgehogs activity where the children each got to learn all about hedgehogs and stroke them! Then we had a wonder round to see the other animals which included pigs, Shetland ponies, goats, ducks, meerkats and alpaca. We then headed down to the tent where they had a bubble activity going on, which was so much fun, and the lady who ran it was brilliant with the kids. We brought a packed lunch and I’m so glad we did as they had so many picnic tables to sit at which were shaded, which we appreciated as it was a very sunny day. They do have plenty of food to chose from on the farm which was great and they also did free water refills at 2 of the eating establishments. Then it was off to the rides and they were perfect for my childrens ages, 6 and 8 at the time, we even got nanny on the doggy roller coaster which was so much fun! We also went to the meet the bunnies activity and got to stroke beautiful snowy the rabbit. The girls played in the parks and softplay and before we knew it , it was 5pm and time to go home.
You can purchase feed for the animals at the entrance for £1 and I would say you won’t need more than 1 bag.
