Pumpkin picking 2023

Hi my lovelies, so I have been busy scouring the internet to find you a list of places to go pumpkin picking this year, I’ve tried my best to put down as much information as I could find, I hope you find it helpful, if you do go to one of my recommendations I would love for you tag tag me @milliekate_and_ellalouise on your instagram posts. Here is what I have found…

Little tip I recommend wearing wellies or sturdy shoes/boots that you don’t mind getting dirty, maybe gloves if your little ones don’t like getting their hands dirty picking their pumpkins and also a bag or something to carry your pumpkins in, I remember trying to hold about 5 pumpkins in my hands at once and it was a nightmare (for the places that don’t have wheel barrows) and wet wipes!

Crockford Bridge Farm

Crockford Bridge Farm’s pumpkin field picking, is open to book for the first 2 weeks in October 2023. Their pumpkin market is open once the pumpkin picking field is closed until the end of October 2023, which requires no booking just turn up on the day. There’s a note on their website that says they tend to run out of pumpkins the later you leave it, so check its open before you leave.

Although entry to the farm is free, a pre-booked farm pass is required to visit the pick your own field, the value of the farm pass is then redeemed against the value of the items you have picked at the exit till, there is no charge is the items picked are of a lower value of your farm pass ticket price. Farm passes are £4 per adult and £2 per child

Pushchairs are not permitted on the actual picking fields, but can be left at the entry kiosk. Big rucksacks aren’t permitted due to persistent theft. There are no toilet facilities, and you can not take food/a picnic.

Hatters Farm Pumpkins

We visited Hatters Farm for the first time this year and had a fantastic time, it has a pumpkin patch, maize maze, pumpkin cannons, face painting, photo opportunities, indoor seating and an indoor spooky maize.

Entry tickets are £2-4 for daytime pumpkin picking and £5 for their pumpkin nights. Pumpkins and squash will vary in price from £1 for their smallest up to £12 for their whoppers! Bonus activities cost a small amount more: the Maize Maze is £3.00 per person and the pumpkin cannon is £2.50 a shot or 3 for £7. All other activities are free of charge. If you want to get the best pumpkins they recommend visiting sooner rather than later!
