The girls were both quite ill last week, so by the end of the week when they were feeling a bit better we played a few new board games to cheer them up.
So first we played Spin the bottle, honestly it was so much fun and perfect for my girls ages so I was really pleased. It’s so easy to play, we just popped the bottle on the stand and spun! whoever the bottle lands on, the triangle lights up red for a dare and blue for a truth, one of the questions we got were to tell a secret of the person opposite you, which was hilarious because Millie told me Ella has a boyfriend and Ella said it was true ‘he is my love’ haha! and the dares were so funny, Ella had to sing happy birthday in the style of a rapper which I wish she would let me post because it was hillarious. For one of Millies dares she had to do a funny dance outside. I think it would be the perfect game for a kids sleepover to play with friends.
It has over 120 tasks, dares and truths and for ages 6+. shop here

Then we played Mukbang, which was a fun memory game based on the YouTube phenomenon. So we started by taking it in turns with the oldest starting first, to press the big burger button to make the mukbang sound, then the same person flips over 5 of the cards, then see what food the light lands on. If any of the cards you’ve flipped over match to the sound, you get to keep the card, and the first person to match and collect 7 cards wins! If you get the belching sound you have to reshuffle the cards! Ella won the first game and Millie won the second and it was good for them to try and remember where the cards were.
